MACHINE SHORTHAND — A TO Z
OCRA is pleased to announce that it is participating in a pilot program to introduce participants to court reporting. A to Z is a free eight-week introductory program designed to give participants a hands-on experience with court reporting to help them determine if this is the career they want to pursue. Thanks to donations from fellow court reporters, loaner steno machines will be available free of charge to participants. The groups will be lead by volunteer court reporters, making the program charges minimal, if anything, to participants, while getting firsthand knowledge of court reporting from working professionals. At the end of the program, participants will be encouraged to enroll in the school of their choice.
Programs are starting soon in Pryor and Tulsa. It would be wonderful if we could get a program started in the Oklahoma City area. If you would like to volunteer to lead a group or have any questions, or if you know someone who might be interested, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
